A family-owned, decentralised company active in energy distribution, cash-and-carry wholesale, heavy lifting and transport activities, industrial services, animal nutrition and aquafeed, providing private equity, testing, inspection and certification (TIC) and exploration, development and production of oil and gas through its eight companies: SHV Energy, Makro, Mammoet, ERIKS, Nutreco, NPM, Kiwa and ONE-Dyas. SHV employs more than 60,000 people and is present in more than 70 countries.

SHV was founded as a coal trading company in 1896. Since then, the world has changed beyond recognition. And so has SHV. Go on a journey that takes in alliances and politics, world recession and global expansion, invasion and innovation… a journey 125 years in the making.
