Dubai Museum of the Future designed with the Ultimaker S5

Dubai Museum of the Future designed with the Ultimaker S5

Ultimaker (world leader in desktop 3D printing and investment of NPM Capital), has helped Killa Design to develop the award-winning Museum of the Future in Dubai.

Killa Design is known for designing unique and iconic architecture. The team of architects used the Ultimaker S5 to design the building in Dubai. The 3D printer is also used to create physical designs for many of the buildings that Killa Design designs.

Using the Ultimaker S5, Killa Design was able to understand the construction (exterior and the frame) of the building before the actual construction began. A cross-section of the 3D print made clear what the inside would look like. The printed scale model also helped to devise a strategy for the exterior that is completely decorated with calligraphy.
