About the role:
Do you enjoy working with numbers, digging into data, and making sense of financial trends while navigating Excel with confidence? Join us as a Finance and Control Intern within the Finance Team of the Business Unit Europe & Central Asia and support key activities like budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. In this hands-on internship, you’ll contribute to monthly reporting, performance analysis, and the creation of dashboards using tools like Power BI.

You’ll gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, international environment, collaborating with teams across Europe and gaining exposure to real business challenges. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and ready to grow your skills in finance, we’d love to hear from you!

You will:

  • Assist with financial reporting, including monthly business reviews and performance analysis
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives across departments
  • Support the development and implementation of financial dashboards (e.g., in Power BI)
  • Conduct detailed analyses on Net Sales and Gross Margin trends
  • Prepare reports and presentations in Excel to support decision-making and strategic discussions
  • Participate in projects and cross-functional collaborations aimed at improving financial processes

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Have an analytical mindset and enjoy working with numbers
  • Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn in a fast-paced, multinational environment

There are also some compulsory requirements:

  • You are located in the Netherlands during the full duration of the internship
  • You are enrolled in an education program for the full duration of the internship
  • You are ideally available from August 2025, for a minimum of 5 months, 4 days per week
  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • You can work from our office in Amersfoort at least 2 days per week

What We Offer:

As a Finance and Control Intern, you’ll be part of the Finance Team within our Business Unit Europe & Central Asia, part of Nutreco’s Livestock Feed / Trouw Nutrition business. This team supports a diverse and dynamic region, stretching from the UK and Ireland to the Caucasus, with 11 production sites and a wide range of activities. It’s a unique opportunity to gain experience in a truly international business environment, where your work will contribute to real financial operations and help support decision-making across multiple countries.
During the internship, you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues and cross-functional teams to support core financial processes, including reporting, analysis, and dashboard creation. It’s a chance to build your technical skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow in a supportive, international environment. This is a paid internship, and you’ll receive a travel allowance for the days you work from our Amersfoort office.
