About the job

In this role you are collaborating with the Category Manager implement strategic plans for amino acids procurement, focusing on performance improvement and risk mitigation. You support the category team in identifying potential suppliers and negotiating contracts for key amino acids sourced from Europe. Next to that, you:

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and overall service improvement.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize strategic procurement sources.

  • Participate in weekly calls with the Amino Acids team and update information through calls with local suppliers.

  • Assist in supplier communication during contract validity periods and support the QA department in obtaining necessary information/documents from suppliers.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to resolve quantity/delivery date issues.

What we ask

Your track record demonstrates your ability to navigate complex sourcing landscapes and deliver results. We’re looking for a new colleague that has strong analytical skills and can interpret market trends, supplier data, and internal metrics to inform strategic procurement decisions. Building and nurturing relationships comes naturally to you. And you’re an effective communicator, whether you're presenting findings, negotiating contracts, or collaborating with colleagues, you can convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Also, you have:

  • At least a bachelor's degree.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within the agriculture or food industries.
