What you’ll do

As a Maintenance Technician for Selko/Nutreco, you will "Own It" by taking direct responsibility for the consistent reliability of the equipment that supports our purpose of Feeding the Future through sustainable animal nutrition. This involves independently executing preventative and corrective maintenance on a diverse array of equipment, including production machinery, rotating equipment, electrical systems, and transport systems. You will leverage your strong electrical and mechanical background to troubleshoot complex malfunctions by accurately following P&ID's, diagrams, and engineering specifications. Furthermore, you will own workplace safety and collaboration, ensuring strict adherence to HACCP and safety procedures while working seamlessly with production staff and outside contractors to achieve minimal production downtime.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced and solutions-focused professional ready to "Own It" by utilizing their strong mechanical and electrical background in an industrialized manufacturing environment. You are an expert with a thorough working knowledge of critical components like pumps, hydraulics, PLC systems, motors, and drives, possessing the excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills necessary to quickly resolve complex issues. As an individual who owns their time and responsibilities, you are highly organized, self-managing, and fully able to work independently while being comfortable with the physical demands of working at heights, lifting equipment, and operating within a loud, dusty, and sometimes element-exposed work environment.

You’ll also need:

  • Technical Expertise: Must possess a strong mechanical and electrical background with prior experience in an industrialized manufacturing environment

  • Advanced Diagnostics & Control Systems: Expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting logic, sensor input, and machine sequencing. This includes working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor controls, and interpreting complex electrical schematics to quickly isolate and repair faults

  • Instrumentation & Safety Compliance: Proficiency in calibrating and maintaining process control instrumentation (transmitters, flow meters, etc.) and ensuring strict safety procedures are followed, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), when working on low and high voltage industrial power distribution systems

  • Specialized Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of various industrial components, including pumps, electric and pneumatic valves, piping, hydraulics, PLC, motors, and drives
