IFC Certification is growing and we’re looking for Inspectors and Senior Inspectors to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a key role in upholding fire safety standards by conducting audits and inspections under the IFCC Passive Installer Certification Scheme. This is a home-based role, with regular travel 3–4 days a week to client offices and construction sites across the UK.
Overview:
- Ability to plan and organise day-to-day activities involving administrative, investigative, inspection, auditing, measuring, and reporting skills
- Liaison with clients on office system and site installation requirements for installer certification in support of the IFCC scheme and any other relevant requirements
- Conduct initial and surveillance audits of clients’ office systems and site installation work as required in accordance with BS EN ISO 17065 and the IFCC scheme
- Carry out site inspections of buildings in accordance with clients’ specific requirements and ISO/IEC 17020
- Report inspection findings in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020
- Support internal quality audits relating to UKAS Accreditations held by IFCC
Senior Inspector additional responsibilities
- Line management of Inspectors within your geographical area
- Review audit and inspection reports prepared by Inspectors
- Provide additional oversight and leadership support to the wider inspection team
Responsabilities:
- A proven background in a technical or quality control role for either a certification/inspection body, manufacturer of passive fire protection products, or application/installation contractor
- Able to work closely and co-operatively with clients and stakeholders
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A full, valid UK driving licence, along with a flexible approach, the ability to work independently, adapt to irregular hours when needed, and a willingness to travel.
Qualifications:
- £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
- £5,880 Car Allowance
- Generous Annual Leave – Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
- 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday. This is primarily a home-based role, with regular travel to client sites and occasional visits to our Aylesbury office.
