Hours: Regular, full-time hours (Monday to Friday), or rotating shifts may be required, including occasional weekends or extended hours based on operational needs

What you’ll do

As the Warehouse Worker – Team Lead, reporting to the Mill Store Manager, you will "Own It" by serving as the primary point of contact and operational leader for the shift, ensuring the efficient movement of product and the delivery of consistently exceptional customer service. This involves actively supervising and coordinating daily tasks, providing direction and support for all warehouse duties, including inventory, shipping/receiving, loading feed with a forklift, and restocking the mill store. You will "Own" safety and compliance by performing daily forklift checks, training new staff, ensuring safety standards are followed, and maintaining a clean, organized, and physically demanding environment, while efficiently escalating any concerns to management as needed. Your work directly contributes to our purpose of Feeding the Future by maximizing mill store efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is ready to "Own It" by leveraging their leadership experience and strong organizational skills to manage a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You are a highly reliable and detail-oriented professional with a pleasant, professional demeanor and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. While prior forklift experience and an agricultural background are assets, the critical expectation is the ability to collaborate effectively while demonstrating a capacity to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of physical endurance for regular heavy lifting and warehouse duties within a unionized environment.

You’ll also need

  • Leadership and Coordination: Demonstrated leadership experience or the ability to lead a team, serving as the main point of contact to supervise and coordinate daily warehouse tasks, including directing shift workers, inventory, and shipping/receiving

  • Customer Service & Organization: Strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and possessing excellent organizational skills and attention to detail necessary to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient mill store and yard

  • Operational Proficiency: Ability to perform all physically demanding warehouse duties (regularly lifting up to 25 kg), operate a forklift (experience is an asset), and ensure all safety standards and daily checks are followed

  • Work Ethic & Flexibility: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, possessing the flexibility to work regular full-time hours (Mon-Fri) and occasional Saturdays in a fast-paced, variable-temperature environment.
