Kiwa Group – part of the SHV Family of Company – has signed an agreement with CSA Group to bring the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) business, led by CSA Group Testing & Certification Inc., into the Kiwa Group for an enterprise value of €1.3 billion. The transaction remains subject to approval by the members of the Canadian Standards Association, and other customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the coming months.
CSA Group’s TIC business is one of the leading providers in North America. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, it operates 20 specialized laboratories in 12 countries and employs around 2,100 people. It serves approximately 11,000 customers, holds OSHA-recognized NRTL status in the United States and SCC accreditation in Canada, and supports customers across North America, Europe and Asia.
