PPI Quality & Engineering is seeking experienced E&I Quality Control Specialists (QCS) for a contract assignment supporting a major electrical equipment manufacturer in Houston, Texas.
The primary focus of this position is post-manufacturing quality inspection, identifying nonconformances and ensuring electrical equipment meets Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications before final acceptance. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, experience performing quality inspections and the ability to identify workmanship and assembly deficiencies.

Employment Type:1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: 5 days per week, minimum 4 hours per day
Start: Immediate
Compensation: Hourly + mileage at applicable IRS rate, travel time and approved expenses / Per Diem Not provided

Perform visual quality inspections of electrical equipment following the manufacturing process.

Identify and document nonconformances, including missing or improperly secured screws, foreign material, debris and other assembly defects.

Verify equipment condition and workmanship against OEM specifications and established quality requirements.

Identify, document and communicate inspection findings and nonconformances to appropriate personnel.

Maintain accurate inspection records and support the resolution of identified quality issues.

Follow all applicable safety procedures and site-specific quality requirements.
Responsabilities:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing inspection or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify workmanship and assembly deficiencies.

Ability to read, understand and follow OEM specifications, inspection instructions and quality standards.

Experience inspecting electrical equipment or manufactured industrial components preferred.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and consistently follow established inspection procedures.
