We're building a new Demand Planning Center of Excellence to strengthen forecasting capabilities across Nutreco's global operations. As one of the first hires in this team, you'll help shape forecasting standards, drive data-driven decision-making, and improve forecast performance across a diverse global portfolio. What You'll Do 

You will play a key role in developing and maintaining statistical forecasting capabilities for Nutreco's global businesses. Leveraging advanced analytics, forecasting models, and data-driven insights, you will help improve forecast accuracy while supporting our broader supply chain transformation agenda.

 

You will: 

  • Own and continuously improve the statistical forecast for your portfolio by reviewing system-generated outputs, resolving exceptions, and collaborating closely with OpCo teams, CoE, and external partners to ensure accuracy and reliability across the full planning horizon 

  • Build trust and adoption of statistical forecasts by clearly communicating insights to OpCo stakeholders and minimizing unnecessary overrides 

  • Leverage data-driven insights to strengthen forecasting accuracy and efficiency within Infor Demand Forecasting tool. 

  • Identify demand drivers and explore external data sources that can enhance forecasting quality and business insights.  

  • Own and continuously refine segmentation and forecasting models to ensure the right methods are applied, enabling accurate and responsive forecasts aligned with evolving business needs and demand patterns 

  • Safeguard forecasting reliability by ensuring data integrity, proactively addressing outliers, and maintaining high-quality master data through structured collaboration with OpCo stakeholders 

  • Develop and maintain performance reporting, tracking KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Bias and Forecast Value Add across multiple levels and time horizons  

  • Accelerate forecasting excellence by driving continuous improvement, translating insights into action, and empowering business users through targeted training and clear, impactful guidance 

 

What You'll Bring 

We're looking for someone who is responsible, accountable, and ready to Own this role. Someone who enjoys working with data, thrives in a continuously evolving environment, and is motivated by the opportunity to build something new. 

Must-Have Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field 

  • 3+ years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, or statistical modelling (preferably in complex, high-SKU environments) 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns, drivers, and variability 

  • Experience with statistical forecasting tools and data-driven planning solutions 

  • Experience working with ERP or Advanced Planning Systems 

  • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders 

  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy 

  • Passion for building and contributing to a global Center of Excellence and enabling others to succeed 

  • Fluent in English 

Nice-to-Have 

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline 

  • Experience in demand sensing and machine learning applications in forecasting 

  • Familiarity with Forecast Value Add (FVA) frameworks and KPI-based performance management 

  • Experience with Infor Demand Forecasting or similar advance forecasting tool 

  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, 5 Whys) 

  • Knowledge of demand drivers and market dynamics within the animal nutrition/feed industry 

  • Relevant certifications (preferred), such as: IBF CPF, ACPF
