What you’ll do
You’ll Own It by taking full responsibility for the quality and integrity of Selko laboratory results—proactively running quality-control and in‑process testing on incoming and produced goods, spotting trends and non‑conformities early, and clearly communicating risks and actions to the right partners. You’ll collaborate closely with researchers to build strong experimental designs and execute test plans, while maintaining accurate, timely documentation of methods, observations, and conclusions. You’ll also help keep the lab performing at its best by checking and calibrating instruments, performing first‑line maintenance, and continuously proposing practical efficiency and quality improvements—so we consistently deliver trusted data that supports our shared purpose of Feeding the Future.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a hands-on, quality-focused Laboratory Technician who takes ownership from sample receipt through to results and reporting—someone who proactively identifies trends, defects, and non-conformities and communicates them clearly and early. The right candidate brings advanced laboratory training and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong attention to detail, comfort working with analytical instruments (including calibration and first-line maintenance), and the discipline to document data and conclusions accurately and on time. Just as important, you collaborate well with researchers to shape experimental design and test plans, use strong Microsoft Office/Excel skills to organize and interpret results, and consistently look for practical ways to improve lab efficiency and quality.

Laboratory education & credentials: Advanced specialized laboratory education; BSc (Bachelor of Science) an asset

Relevant experience: Minimum 2 years in a laboratory/analytical testing environment, ideally in manufacturing

Analytical & quality competency: Ability to perform QC testing, identify non‑conformities, monitor quality trends, and communicate findings promptly

Experimental execution & documentation: Experience supporting experimental design/test plans, running experiments to plan, and recording/reporting data accurately and on time

Technical & digital skills: Comfort with calibration and first‑line maintenance of analytical instruments; strong Microsoft Office/Excel skills
