What you’ll do  

The Lead Buyer General Services is responsible for leading and executing sourcing activities for key indirect spend categories for the Headquarters of Nutreco, with a strong focus on Professional Services, Mobility, Travel, Facility Services, and Temporary Labor. The role ensures competitive sourcing outcomes, successful implementation of contracts, and effective supplier and contract management across the business. 

This position plays a critical role in stakeholder engagement, driving alignment and commitment from business partners, maximising business profitability and contributes to SHV cross-group initiatives, including the implementation of Global SHV contracts within Nutreco. 

 

You will lead end-to-end sourcing activities across assigned indirect categories, developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver value, ensure supply continuity, and support Nutreco and SHV procurement objectives.  

 

You will also manage supplier relationships and contract lifecycles, driving performance, compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement, while partnering closely with business stakeholders to provide procurement expertise, align sourcing initiatives with business needs, and ensure successful implementation and utilization of contracts.  

Key stakeholders include Headquarters functional leaders, Global and Regional Procurement teams, SHV Group Procurement, and strategic suppliers. 

 

Finally, you will collaborate with SHV procurement teams on cross-group initiatives, support the deployment of global agreements, and ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, governance standards, and ethical requirements.  

 

Who we’re looking for  

We’re looking for someone who is driven, analytical and ready to Own this role. Someone who is proactive, open and independent, who is able to lead from the front.  

 

You’ll also need:   

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience. 

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or contract- and supplier management. 

  • Proven experience in managing complex sourcing projects and multiple stakeholders. 

  • Strong knowledge of indirect spend categories such as professional services, contingent labour, travel, mobility, or facilities. 

  • Experience working in an international, matrix-driven organization is preferred.

  • Contract negotiation and commercial acumen. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into sourcing decisions. 

  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • High level of independence, ownership, and professional judgment.
