What you’ll do
The Marketing organization is a BUNA-level shared capability that delivers integrated marketing, commercial excellence, and regulatory support. The Marketing Director defines where to play and how to win across segments, channels, and portfolios, translating market insight into clear priorities that drive growth, margin, and competitive advantage.
This role is accountable for market-facing direction across the business, including which customer needs to prioritize, what solutions to bring forward, and how to position them for success in the market. You will work in close partnership with Commercial, Technical, R&D, Operations, and Finance, while serving as a member of the North America Leadership Team alongside GMs and Functional Directors.
Who we’re looking for
Strategy development and execution
- Define the North America marketing strategy in alignment with BU priorities, global direction, and market opportunities.
- Translate strategy into annual plans, budgets, resource allocation, and KPIs across marketing and commercial excellence.
- Establish performance routines to track results, manage risks, and adjust priorities to deliver growth, margin, and ROI.
Team leadership and capability development
- Build and lead a high-performing, integrated marketing organization across functional areas.
- Define team structure, roles, and ways of working that enable effective strategy execution.
- Strengthen organizational capability through targeted coaching, development, and training initiatives.
Species marketing, portfolio, and innovation
- Turn business needs and market opportunities into prioritized portfolio choices, quantified growth plans, and compelling value propositions.
- Lead the development of business cases, offer design, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to accelerate time-to-market, adoption, and portfolio competitiveness.
Operational marketing and go-to-market execution
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market execution across positioning, messaging, launches, and campaigns.
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based customer materials that strengthen brand and support conversion.
- Deliver effective sales enablement tools and communication assets that improve field execution and reinforce consistent, substantiated messaging.
Pricing and margin management
- Establish value-based pricing frameworks, tools, and governance to improve price realization and portfolio mix.
- Partner with Sales and Finance on pricing guardrails, segmentation, and value communication.
- Monitor performance and lead actions that strengthen profitability and commercial discipline.
Commercial excellence
- Drive value-based selling, CRM discipline, and pipeline management to improve conversion and forecasting.
- Ensure consistent, insight-led marketing execution aligned with commercial priorities.
- Embed pricing governance and strengthen decision-making through standardized reporting and actionable insight.
Regulatory leadership
- Lead regulatory strategy and compliance across claims, labeling, authorizations, and marketing materials.
- Anticipate regulatory changes and guide mitigation in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure governance and review processes support compliant innovation and customer communications.
Cross-functional alignment
- Align BU, OpCo, and global stakeholders on priorities, resources, and execution.
- Build strong partnerships across Commercial, Technical, R&D, Operations, and Finance.
- Drive clarity, accountability, and alignment to deliver coordinated business impact.
What you bring
- Bachelor or master’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including 5+ years at Director level or equivalent.
- Experience in animal nutrition, agribusiness, or B2B specialty manufacturing preferred.
- Strong strategic marketing expertise, including market segmentation, positioning, value proposition development, portfolio management, innovation, and go-to-market execution.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, ROI, and value-based pricing.
- Experience leading multi-functional teams across marketing, communications, regulatory, pricing, and commercial excellence in a matrix and/or transformation environment.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bring clarity to complex and ambiguous situations.
- Willingness to travel within North America (25–35%) for customer visits and industry events.
