What you’ll do
Production Planning and Coordination:

Coordinate and schedule production runs to optimize resources and meet customer demand.

Create and manage manufacturing orders, ensuring timely execution.
Process Oversight:
-
Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Act as the first point of contact for quality, maintenance, and safety issues during shifts.
Inventory Management:

Manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels, ensuring timely availability for production.

Conduct monthly stock counts and review stock adjustment reports.

Order supplies and equipment as needed, and track repairs and maintenance budgets.
Reporting and Data Management:

Prepare and maintain production reports, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.

Regularly run and review manufacturing order variance reports and update the slow-moving list for passthrough items.
Team Coordination and Development:

Supervise and support production staff, facilitating effective communication and teamwork.

Train and onboard new employees, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Who we’re looking for
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in a production or processing environment, preferably within the animal feed manufacturing industry.

Ability to work in shift as shift work is involved, along with rotating shifts and on call

Strong understanding of production processes and quality control measures
-
Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively interact with employees at all levels.

Proven ability to manage and support team members, with a focus on coaching and development.
You’ll also need

Experience in coordinating production activities and managing schedules to meet deadlines.

Strong oral and written communication skills for effective reporting and documentation.

Proficient computer skills, including experience with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address production challenges promptly.

Ability to adapt to changing conditions and lead teams through transitions and improvements.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
