Kiwa UK is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role you will lead and continuously improve AR, AP, and treasury operations, ensuring strong financial control, efficient external reporting, and optimal working capital. The role will own audit delivery, support transformation initiatives, and build a high-performing, future-ready transactional finance function. This is a UK remote role with occasional travel.
Overview:

External interfaces

  • Coordinate the Group Reporting and UK financial audits, including the creation of working papers and memos to support disclosures.
  • Lead the financial statement preparation process.
  • Collaborate with Corporate project delivery teams to deploy modernised treasury, AR and AP systems.
  • Support M&A integration activities across all transactional streams.

Accounts receivable and payable

  • Manage the AR and AP teams, maintaining a high-performing, psychologically safe and collaborative culture. Support development, cross-functional working and succession planning.
  • Oversee AR and AP activities, ensuring a faultless level of governance and stakeholder customer service.
  • Act as an escalation point for customer, supplier and team clarifications.
  • Provide review and ultimate approval for all Kiwa UK payments, selected manual journals, and other controlled documents.
  • Champion and streamline the source to pay (purchase order) process.
  • Improve and then maintain net working capital metrics.

Treasury and reporting

  • Support with the coordination of the UK treasury activities. This will include general banking administration, cash pooling, F/X management and deposits.
  • Support with cash flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinate ONS returns for the Group.
  • Oversee intercompany activities, including balance settlement, set-offs and intercompany loans.

Responsabilities:

  • ACA qualified or equivalent, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and auditing standards.
  • Previous management experience managing and developing a high performing team. 
  • Recent experience of working in a UK Corporate in a similar role, or recently qualified professional coming from Practice.
  • Relevant experience of IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Experience with ERP and consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream), with the ability to reconcile local data to IFRS group reporting.
  • The ability to deliver to tight timescales and deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent day to day planning and organisational skills.

Qualifications:

  • £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
