Senior Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 CE (Customer Service/Sales)

Overview:

As a Senior Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 CE, you take functional ownership of the continuity, development, and optimal use of the Dynamics 365 platform with a focus on Customer Service Workspace and Sales. You act as a trusted advisor who bridges business and IT, translating complex business needs into scalable functional designs and configurations. Working with an international team, you support users across multiple countries, with a strong focus on sales, data quality, adoption, scalability, security, and compliance. Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and its practical application within Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the functional design, configuration, and optimization of Dynamics 365 CE solutions, with a focus on Customer Service Workspace and Sales;
• Challenge and translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable functional designs and specifications;
• Promote standard functionality and configure solutions, advising on customizations only where they deliver clear business value;
• Own functional impact analyses for changes and releases, including dependencies, risks, and adoption implications;
• Support testing and go-live activities;
• Advise business stakeholders and guide, train, and support key users;
• Create functional documentation and user instructions;
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, security, compliance, and data-quality standards;
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including opportunities to use Copilot and AI responsibly;
• Provide functional leadership and perform quality reviews;
• Act as a trusted advisor on the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform roadmap, including responsible Copilot adoption.

• Facilitating workshops and advising business stakeholders at operational and senior levels;
• Impact analysis, release readiness, and functional governance.

You are pragmatic, solution-oriented, and focused on delivering sustainable business value, with the ability to influence stakeholders and coach colleagues. In addition you have the following background:

Required

• Bachelor‑level professional and intellectual ability;
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience as a Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 CE, including demonstrable senior-level ownership;
• Strong knowledge of Dataverse, including data modelling, security, integrations, and solution architecture principles;
• Experience with Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps;
• Strong understanding of core business processes, including Sales, Service, and Customer Data;
• Proven experience delivering and governing solutions in complex, international enterprise environments;
• Excellent stakeholder-management, advisory, analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills;
• Fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Based in the Netherlands with the right to work here;
• Demonstrable experience leading workshops, making solution recommendations, and managing stakeholders;
• Ability to mentor colleagues, review functional deliverables, and raise overall delivery quality.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, preferably Copilot for Dynamics 365 and/or Copilot Studio, including relevant governance, security, and adoption considerations;
• Experience identifying and translating AI/Copilot use cases into measurable business value;
• Integration experience with APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and Service Bus;
• Basic Dataverse/SQL query knowledge (FetchXML, Web API);
• Agile and/or Azure DevOps experience;
• Experience in regulated or compliance‑driven environments.

In this role, you will work for the Flow! IT team based in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. You will report to the Team Lead D365 CE.
