PPI Quality & Engineering is a global provider of quality assurance and inspection services supporting the energy industry, and is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. In this role, you will perform and witness inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and PPI Quality & Engineering procedures.
You will verify equipment calibration, confirm technician certifications, and produce clear, accurate inspection reports that support informed decision-making. Acting as the customer’s representative at supplier and fabrication sites, you will promote safe work practices, communicate inspection results to project coordinators and stakeholders, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who values precision, accountability, and operational excellence in quality execution.
Overview:
- Perform surveillance and inspection of API 6A gate valve components, including gates, seats, and stems.
- Witness and verify hardness testing, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), and dimensional inspections.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with approved procedures, project specifications, and API 6A requirements.
- Review quality documentation, inspection reports, material certificates, and manufacturing records.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Liaise with the manufacturer, client, and project stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues.
- Prepare detailed inspection and surveillance reports in a timely manner.
- Promote compliance with quality, safety, and project standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsabilities:
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Surveillance Representative or QA/QC Inspector within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Hands-on inspection experience with API 6A gate valve components, including gates, seats, and stems.
- Strong knowledge of hardness testing, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), and dimensional inspection.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
- Familiarity with API 6A standards and quality documentation requirements.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Previous experience supporting manufacturing surveillance for major Oil & Gas clients is highly desirable.
